SPOFEC redefines luxury in a tasteful and aerodynamically efficient fashion. Using carbon fibre for each aerodynamic component, Novitec have still managed to improve upon the visuals of an already stunning car.
The front bumper is a direct replacement of the original, serving to reduce negative lift on the front axle at high speeds, and sharpening the image at the front of the car.
The side panels are available on both the short wheel base, and the long wheel base, and produce the effect of a somewhat more aggressive stance extending slightly lower to the ground.
The enhanced rear bumper draws the attention to the back end of the car, where the final piece in the kit, the rear spoiler lip is now in a glorious clear coated carbon fibre weave to truly differentiate this Ghost from the norm.
This perfect mixture of elegance yet visual prowess captivates audiences along the Ghost’s path.
Aside from the aerodynamics, Novitec have released an entirely new range of wheels specifically for the discerning Ghost owner – the SP1. Dimensionally offset spokes immediately attract one’s eye, in particular the combination of a black paint finish with polished surfaces seen in these pictures. Not to everyone’s taste however, these rims are also available with a silver, matte black or titanium finish. Mounted with tires of sizes 265/35 ZR 22 and 295/30 ZR 22, the wheels in sizes 9Jx22 at the front and 10.5Jx22 on the rear axle now completely fill the wheel arches, and partnering once again with Pirelli, the tyres are more than capable of handling the extreme increase in performance detailed below.
The SPOFEC suspension module is calibrated specifically to this wheel option. It intervenes in the control of the air suspension of the Ghost, and lowers the ride height by about 40 millimeters at speeds below 140 km/h. At higher speeds the body automatically reverts to its original level as the additional height becomes necessary.
Moving away from visuals, SPOFEC unleashes the inherent reserves of the 6.6-liter V12 Biturbo engine with a monumental performance kit. The plug-and-play module is integrated into the original ECU and increases the engine’s power output with new mapping for injection and ignition as well as a moderate rise in boost pressure. In conjunction with the eight-speed automatic transmission, the tremendous torque delivers an even more superior driving experience in an extremely smooth manner.
To handle this additional power, the final component in the SPOFEC transformation is the carbon-ceramic high-performance braking system with vented discs. Measuring a massive 405 x 30 and 395 x 38 mm, these high-tech components enable the Ghost to stop the same way it accelerates! The brake pedal feel is consistent and the bite from the brake pedal is razor sharp allowing the car to stop immediately. As an added bonus, there is an enormous 38 kg weight reduction of UNSPRUNG as a result of the switch from steel to ceramic!
