Maserati is synonymous with luxury and high performance. However, if you want it to stay that way, it needs some TLC. Maintenance costs money but saves you in the long run.
In this Maserati maintenance cost guide, we’ll explore the servicing costs for specific Maserati models. We’ll also look at how to keep your prestige vehicle in top condition and how much that will set you back, including replacing parts and oil changes.
Engines ready; let’s go…

How Often Should You Service Your Maserati?
It’s advised to service your Maserati every 12,500 miles to ensure the car is in optimal condition and you have a driving experience to match. It’s recommended that diesel models have service intervals of every 12 months and petrol every 24 months or 12,500 miles, whichever comes first.
We recommend servicing your Maserati regularly, even if you don’t have a high annual mileage. This regular Maserati maintenance cost outweighs what you could have to pay if issues caused by brake fluid degrading over time aren’t addressed.
To give you an idea of when to service your Maserati, we’ve provided the recommended maintenance schedule for the Maserati Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante V6.

Maserati Quattroporte Maintenance Cost
The Maserati Quattroporte maintenance cost ranges between £570 to £3,000. The lower figure includes the annual inspection, engine oil and filter. To keep your Maserati in optimal condition, you would need to set aside slightly more than that, especially if you push the vehicle to its limits.
This four-door luxury sedan has a presence. The Quattroporte costs between £79,865 and £142,840. It first launched in 2013, and you can usually find V6 and V8 engine options on the various models. They include the Trofeo, GranSport, GT and Modena.
You’re looking at around £980 for a major service, which covers the air filter, aux belt, brake and coolant fluid. After three years, there’s an additional £300 for spark plugs. Additional costs could come from four-wheel alignment and engine control unit upgrades, which cost Around £240 and £1,440, respectively.
Maserati GranTurismo Maintenance Cost
While it can vary between the trims and model years, the average Maserati GranTurismo maintenance cost comes to around £570 to £1,500+. The basic service for the GranTurismo starts at around £570. However, more extensive services will see costs rise to £1,000 or more.
Extras, such as spark plugs, wheel alignment, tyres and additional tuning, can set you back between £250 to £1,000. A set of premium Bridgestone tyres for your GranTurismo can cost around £800 alone.
The 2024 GranTurismo price ranges between £133,00 and £179,950. The all-new version comes with the Folgore as an electric option. This model is one of the luxury car brand’s icons, whether petrol, diesel or electric.
Maserati Levante Maintenance Cost
The Maserati Levante maintenance cost runs from £560 up to £1,500+, although the actual cost will depend on whether you have a petrol or diesel model. If you push the car to its limits by regularly driving at high speeds, you can expect costs to rise. If you’re looking at winter tyres, a set of premium Pirelli tyres for your Levante can set you back over £1,100.
A major service can cost between £900 to £1,000. Compared to the Quattroporte and GranTurismo, the service and maintenance costs are marginally lower. You’ll find that they’re typically on par with the Ghibli, although it depends on the year and how much care the car has received.
Prices for the Levante GT Ultima start from £92,935, and the Modena Ultima starts at £114,740. Maserati launched the SUV in 2016, and it’s certainly turned heads in the premium market. It’s still available with a V8, for now, and has that distinctive Maserati look.
Maserati Ghibli Maintenance Cost
Whether you’ve hit 12,500 miles or not, you’ll still need to take your Maserati Ghibli maintenance cost into account. A basic annual service can be £570, whereas a major service can range from £880 to £950+. If it’s time to change the spark plugs, you’ll be looking at around £300, which is pretty standard for all Maseratis.
Cost can rise when it’s time to change the tyres, usually after 8,000 to 10,000 miles, although it depends on your driving and the conditions. Premium tyres tend to have a shorter lifespan, so it’s a maintenance cost to keep in mind. Premium Pirelli tyres for your Ghibli can cost around £850.
The Maserati Ghibli celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2021. The Turin Motor Show in 1966 unveiled the sporty car, and it hit the market the following year. It recently relaunched as a premium saloon with looks to honour the original. The 2024 Ghibli GT Ultima starts from £90,600.
Maserati Maintenance Cost: Oil and Clutch Changes
If you opt for a full service, which we recommend, then it’s likely to include an oil change. With that said, it’s better to prevent damage than to fix it afterwards. We recommend changing the oil every 10,000 miles, although the actual figure depends on your driving habits.
It’s essential to look out for signs that your oil needs changing. They include a noisy engine, unexpected smoke, oil that looks dirty and a warning light on your dashboard. If you need to change outside of your service, you’ll have to spend £85+ for anything up to a two-litre engine. Specialist oils will cost more.
A more expensive side of maintenance is replacing the clutch. Here’s a list of pricing for different Maserati models.
Maserati 4200 clutch: From around £1,520 plus labour
Maserati GranTurismo and Quattroporte clutch: From around £2,010 plus labour
Maserati 3200 GT/Assetto Corsa Manual clutch: From around £3,000 plus labour
Consistently adhering to these checks, changes and replacements will improve every aspect of your experience. Now, you should have a decent idea of just how much owning and running one of these sought after models will set you back.
