The Kline Innovations exhaust is a modular, high-performance exhaust system designed for the McLaren MP4-12C (3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, 592 hp). It is available as a catback rear section only or as a full system incorporating a choice of catalysts. The system features Kline’s signature 1D CLR tight radius X-pipe to achieve a high-pitched, F1-like acoustic profile. It is offered in ultra-lightweight Inconel 625 superalloy (full system at 5.5 kg) or durable 304 grade stainless steel (full system at 11 kg), and utilizes valvetronic flap regulation for sound control.

Vehicle Function:

The exhaust's primary function is to transform the 12C’s sound signature, correcting the subdued acoustic character often associated with turbocharged V8s. By optimizing gas flow and incorporating the X-pipe, it allows the engine to deliver the aggressive "scream" expected of a supercar. Furthermore, by reducing back pressure, it enhances the vehicle’s overall performance envelope, increasing horsepower and torque.
