Overview

This valved exhaust system for the 488 GTB and GTS works with the factory cats, Capristo’s 200-cell sports cats, or their cat spares (test pipes). It gives a more aggressive note under acceleration and a quieter, deeper sound at low revs and cruising, when the valves are closed. The included remote kit adds manual control of the valves, so you choose when the car is loud or quiet. 

Key features

• ECU-controlled valves: The engine ECU opens and closes the valves, as it does with the original exhaust, and the factory vacuum pipes connect straight to the Capristo valve system.
• Wireless remote: A button on the remote opens or closes the valves. With the valves back in the closed position, control returns to the ECU. 
• Choice of catalytic setup: Works with OEM cats, 200-cell sports cats or test pipes, which lets you tailor the sound. 
• Precision manufacturing: Developed in Germany using 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping and CNC bending and milling.
• Bolt-on fitment: Designed to install at the existing factory mounting points.

Remote kit details

• The kit lets you choose OEM control (factory valve settings) or Capristo control (valves stay open) as the default, without choosing a mode at every start. 
• The key fob is pre-programmed and works at 444 MHz. 
• A fail-safe opens the valves if there is an electrical or vacuum fault, which protects against heat-related engine damage.
• Plug-and-play wiring: only the power and ground connections need to be made, with a choice of long and short cables.
