Product Description:

The KW V5 is KW’s high-end coilover for sports cars and supercars. It uses the company’s Solid Piston damper technology, which comes from its GT motorsport programme, with damper valves arranged in series. The dampers react straight away to small bumps, light steering inputs and fine surface changes, so the car stays settled and predictable. Because the dampers support the body well, KW can use lower spring rates, which avoids the harsh handling and loss of grip that very stiff springs can cause.

Key features

• Solid Piston damper technology: Fast, precise damping with very low hysteresis, even over short suspension travel.
• 4-way independent adjustment: Low-speed and high-speed settings for both compression and rebound, 13 clicks each, giving 14 characteristic curves per setting. This is KW’s SPCLH-A compression and SPRLH-A rebound system.
• Better body control: Braking, acceleration, steering, load changes and bumps are all damped more precisely than with a conventional damper.
• Cavitation-free operation: Low-pressure gas range of 6 to 10 bar.
• Lightweight aluminium coilover struts: Corrosion-resistant and lighter than steel.
• Lowering: Stepless adjustment within the tested range, up to [30 mm, check the parts certificate for your car].
• Street-ready baseline setup: Supplied pre-tuned for road driving [confirm for your car], then adjustable for track use.
• Made in Germany: Developed and manufactured at KW’s headquarters in Fichtenberg.
