The Novitec Hydraulic Lift System combined with a progressive sport spring set is the ultimate chassis engineering upgrade for the Ferrari 458 Italia and Spider. This system is designed for vehicles that were not equipped with a factory nose-lift from Maranello, or for owners who want to lower their vehicle’s center of gravity without losing daily drivability. It delivers a lower, more performance-oriented stance while offering on-demand clearance for steep driveways, speed bumps, and parking ramps.
40mm On-Demand Lift: At the push of an in-cabin button, a compact, high-pressure hydraulic actuator positioned on the front struts raises the front axle by 40mm. This provides ample clearance to safely navigate urban obstacles that would otherwise scrape or damage a low-slung front splitter.
Automatic Speed-Sensitive Retraction: For aerodynamic stability and safety, the system interfaces directly with the car’s speed sensors. Once the vehicle accelerates past 80 km/h (approx. 50 mph), the hydraulic unit automatically bleeds off pressure and lowers the nose back to its performance ride height.
Performance Lowering Springs: The kit includes a full set of 4 Novitec sport springs. These springs lower the overall ride height of the vehicle (typically around 20–30mm), closing the factory wheel-gap and lowering the center of gravity for reduced body roll and sharper cornering entry.
Preserves OEM Damper Settings: The package includes a proprietary Novitec CAN control module. This dedicated electronic interface allows the mechanical lift components to communicate flawlessly with the vehicle’s central nervous system.
Manettino Compatibility: By utilizing the CAN module, the system ensures that Ferrari's factory electronic damper adjustments and the steering-wheel-mounted Manettino drive modes remain 100% functional, operating without triggering diagnostic errors or suspension fault codes.
Progressive Spring Rate Tuning: The springs are precision-calibrated to match the factory damper curves, meaning the ride remains compliant and comfortable during cruising, but progressively stiffens under heavy lateral load to manage chassis pitch and roll.
