When we picked up a call from this Ferrari\u2019s owner,\u00a0his enthusiasm could be heard across our office. That\u2019s how happy he was when driving his car with the newly fitted Novitec exhaust system in his 458. Believe it or not, this is a reaction we already got used to. We helped a large group of owners to enjoy their\u00a0supercar\u00a0even more with similar\u00a0upgrades. However, most importantly, we put them in control, so the engine roar can be easily adjusted with a touch of a button.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The majority of purists will probably say that all Maranello machines are works of art and that they all sound amazing. We definitely agree\u00a0on\u00a0the \u201cworks of art\u201d part of this statement, but experience and previous projects showed us that the second part can be further fine-tuned to provide even more thrilling experience for the\u00a0Ferrari\u00a0owners.<\/p>\n

We have heard a great deal of criticism from fans and owners alike, offline and online, that\u00a0the stock exhaust of the 458 is actually a little sedate for a machine with such sporty aspirations. This is most apparent on low rpm when the car is almost silent. The truth is, that\u00a0although the car\u00a0does\u00a0get louder at high revs, the sound\u00a0is still pretty full and flat \u2013 especially compared to Ferraris of yesteryear like the 355 which sounded like an old F1-car!<\/p>\n

Some Ferrari owners replace the original rear silencer<\/a> only, which, when selected properly can give you a \u201cnicer sound\u201d but unfortunately will not, by itself,\u00a0release enough volume. This is simply because the stock exhaust bypasses any silencing when the valves open\u00a0so it\u2019s already noisy (if pretty dull-sounding) and more to the point, it\u2019s the\u00a0original catalysts\u00a0that\u00a0are a serious source of the restriction. They are 800 cell and still \u201cchoke\u201d the engine with back pressure, simultaneously making\u00a0the sound much softer.<\/p>\n

So when an\u00a0owner\u00a0came to us with a such a\u00a0clear\u00a0objective\u00a0\u2013 to make his 458 sound like a \u201cproper\u201d Ferrari whilst not being over the top, our recommendation was simple;\u00a0 we installed a\u00a0tried, tested,\u00a0and \u201calready\u00a0appreciated by many 458 owners<\/em>\u201d package \u2013 we call\u00a0it \u201cthe true sports exhaust kit\u201d:<\/p>\n
